  • Three month artistic travel to England, Wales, and Scotland to study ancestral sense of place experienced through paper collage.
  • Study of Norwegian and Swedish textiles in Norway and Sweden. Recipient of the 2007 Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative grant to study textiles in Norway and Sweden with the Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum located in Decorah, Iowa, USA. 
  • Southwest Institute of Technical and Further Education in Australia (TAFE) Diploma of Art in Tapestry classes 2002 - 2004.
